people panel don't show any people

This is invalid. In order for the people panel to show people you must first run empathy and configure your accounts properly and then change you status to online. I have successfully done this with google talk and see all of my friends in the people panel.

here is a thing. if you delete an account in empathy and create it again any contacts related to it will be shown in people panel but if you restart you computer and then run empathy then you cannot see any people.
***(and also we cannot change status from status panel other than twitter)

When I initially add the account, it seems to work ok, but I can confirm that after reboot, even if I bring empathy back up, I still don't see anyone in the people panel.

My next question regarding this problem is, when i finaly see the contacts in people panel...i deleted the account and then retyped the info...if somebody writes to me I jus see the notification window, but lets say I'm on toilet, then there's no way for me to see who wrote unless I invoke the IM client and look for the flashing circles in contact list.
