Bug Description
Using the latest Ubuntu MATE 22.04.1 ISO released a couple of days ago...
See 1.jpg attached (see inside zip)...
At the screen 'Who are you?' (the screen where you enter your the PC's hostname, your real name, etc...) I am choosing 'Use Active Directory'.
See 2.jpg attached (see inside zip)...
At the screen 'Configure Active Directory' I enter in valid details, and press 'Continue'...
See 3.jpg attached (see inside zip)...
After hitting 'Continue' you don't get any feedback what so ever as to the success or failure. However you'll notice that the header of the screen has changed BACK to 'Who are you?' and additionally the 'Back' button is now greyed out.
Essentially the user ends up being stuck on this screen indefinitely with no way out except to reboot.
This issue still exists with 22.04.3
Also this seems to happen both if...
a) it somehow didn't successfully login using the domain administrator
b) if you chose 'admin' as the local account on the previous screen (which is a reserved username, and I can't find any good justification for why it is... )
But in either case... the bug is that there is no feedback as to what is actually wrong... and it leaves you in limbo without a way to go back.
