Bug Description

Hello,

I've just freshly installed ubuntu mate 22.04 jelly, updated package, and added 'synaptic'.

Once synaptic launched, clicking on the search button (top right panel or same from the drop down menu), I am directly disconnected / exit from the session...

Seems to be a big bug ?

hello,

too late for now, I reported the bug and then erased the test machine.
It was on a test machine and as I could not use it I reinstalled other releases (20.04 + ubuntu classical flavour 22.04) where synaptic is working.

hope this bug could be reproduced and fixed...

Hello,
I experience the same trouble for synaptic, but not only, since i've installed mate on an old laptop (did not test yet on recent release).
As soon I try to use the search on synaptic, on cliking on an icon to launch a gui app (ie an .doc file), on webrowser (falkon, firefox,.. using right-click on a link, opening gmail.com, keytradebank.be,....), launching notepad++, changing screen display,...
--> will exit / disconnect session (black screen for 20 sec. then send to the welcome session screen...

I added gnome-session and gnome-shell-extension... if I start with gnome classique (wayland or X11) everything works ok...

I run the script if this could help...
