It looks like 10 minutes timeout threshold is not enough for this ftrace-direct.tc test on F-oracle-5.15 BM.Standard2.52.
Experiment shows it will take about 12 minutes to run:

It turns out this ftrace-direct.tc test is highly related to the number of CPUs on a SUT.
It took 46minutes to run on a system with 224 CPUs.
