Reproducible: Yes, every time.
Series: cosmic
Kernel: "linux-aws 4.18.0-1012.14"
Steps:

1.) apt-get install --yes --allow build-essential cpu-checker qemu-kvm git gcc-multilib
2.) git clone --depth=1 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/virt/kvm/kvm-unit-tests.git
3.) cd kvm-unit-tests; ./configure; make
4.) TESTNAME=vmware_backdoors TIMEOUT=90s ACCEL= ./x86/run x86/vmware_backdoors.flat -smp 1 -machine vmport=on

That affects all kernels, because that needs kvm modules parameter enable_vmware_backdoor. I am not comfortable enabling that by default on our kernels. We could enable that during the kvm-unit-tests. But for now, on our own branch of kvm-unit-tests, I decided to simply disable that test to be run by default.
