Bug Description
I have found that after the most recent update of the gnome-control-
In terms of Terminal output I find that at first when I launch the gnome-control-

Then when I go into the "Region & Language" section I get this:

When I try to install a language I get this:

And finally when I close the gnome-control-
(gnome-
Though on some occasions all does work as it should, I would say that at least half the time it does not, but if it is working one way it will not work another way unless you restart the gnome-control-
I have found this issue on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.18 (32-bit) and Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18 (64-bit).

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling us which new version it is in.
