Bug Description

For Ubuntu 23.04:

* I created a VM in virt-manager with 0,0 GiB (the unit used by virt-manager, only one decimal is allowed -- but this is not related to this filed issue) to find out about the required disk space. Ubiquity says that it requires 18 GB
* Created a new VM in virt-manager with 16,8 GiB (18.03886 GB). Tried to re-install. Uqiquity: "Not enought disk space to install Ubuntu. Required: 18 GB. Available: 17: GB"
* Created a new VM in virt-manager with 17,7 GiB (19.00523 GB). Tried to re-install. Uqiquity: "Not enought disk space to install Ubuntu. Required: 18 GB. Available: 18: GB"
* Created a new VM in virt-manager with 18,4 GiB (19.75685 GB). Tried to re-install. Uqiquity: "Not enought disk space to install Ubuntu. Required: 18 GB. Available: 18: GB"
* Created a new VM in virt-manager with 18,5 GiB (19.86423 GB). Tried to re-install. Uqiquity: No complaint, I could install the distro.

Also, please add a decimal to the required disk space even for whole numbers ("19.9" in this case) to make it convenient to evaluate it.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2025039/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

I tested this myself as you set out, and it did indeed fail with 16.8GiB. However when I bumped the storage up to 17.7GiB, it succeeded. Do you have any more details on reproducing this I might be missing?

Another thing to add - using virt-install instead of virt-manager, I created a storage disk with 16.8GiB, and I did not get the "not enough space" error as described above.

```
qemu-img create -f qcow2 image.qcow2 16.8G
Formatting 'image.qcow2', fmt=qcow2 cluster_size=65536 extended_l2=off compression_type=zlib size=18038862643 lazy_refcounts=off refcount_bits=16
```

```
virt-install --os-variant ubuntu23.10 --name myvm --memory 2048 --disk image.qcow2 --cdrom mantic-desktop-amd64.iso
```

Additionally, these screenshots are of the new desktop installer, which runs Subiquity, not Ubiquity. Just checking as I've also been testing with the new desktop installer!

Thank you for your report.

I used Ubuntu 23.04, so your release, mantic-desktop-amd64.iso (Ubuntu 23.10) is ahead of mine. Perhaps this has been fixed?

As stated, this is the new ubuntu-desktop-installer, it is not ubiquity. Assigning back to the correct project.
