At some point in early-2015 Ubuntu Orange RGB on the phone appears to have changed from #dd4814 to #e95420. Ideally this should be publicly documented to give the rationale, timeline, and backstory and how and where and the change originated.

Peter Mahnke stated that the Ubuntu Webteam had been asked to switch from #dd4814 to #e95420, but that this was not considered urgent. The change was accordingly rolled out with an update of the CSS framework:

Ideally it would be possible to find out when/where/what/how/why and put a highly-visible update statement along the lines of the previous one at:
