Bug Description

We've been using is.gd for a while now, but I've recently made a deal with the owner of ½.ws for implementing his service into TwitKit. This is better because the domain is only one letter (!) and might just make that sentence fit into one tweet.

However, is.gd support should be retained for anti-Unicode OSes.. not pointing any fingers. *cough*

This URL service has been causing many problems with internal parts of TwitKit during our testing stages. It's been decided that we should stay with is.gd.

tinyurl, xrl.us and tr.im are all implemented. not sure if any more are needed. personally i use url.ie but i doubt many other people do. Here are a list of others: http://mashable.com/2008/01/08/url-shortening-services/
do u have access to an api for ½.ws? as there is no public one available at the moment.
