More of a feature request, but can LP grow support for git filter options?
I.E. for some project git clone --filter=blob:none <repo>, would significantly reduce the disk space used and improves checkout performance as only the last set of binaries are retrieved.
No idea on the potential impact of this on the LP git servers

This is probably mainly a matter of getting turnip redeployed on focal so that it has a new enough version of git.
