Bug Description
It's nice that we can now download the script from logdir and fire it up with a patch of interest. But if I don't care about a specific patch and need a fresh env, it's silly to still require a developer to go and fetch it online (what if logdir is down?)
For this matter, devmode.sh is still helpful, because it's committed in git, and so you can clone and fire it up, and get the setup.
I think to deprecate devmode.sh, as seems to be the goal right now, we should have a replacement for this mode of operation. It may be solved by putting some default script in git, or at least have a well documented generator for such a script somewhere in the repo.
