Bug Description

Hello,

I think that for now, in example, scope Today is not useful as it can be. Lets look at last calls part - If I don't refresh scope, I see last calls from time scope was refreshed. If I want to see real last calls (when I made some calls between last refresh of scope and present) I can:
a) refresh Today scope - what is really slow,
b) go to calls app - so what is the point of using scope?

In this example (any many others) Scopes philosophy to have faster access to read data is wrong.

Maybe better solution would be refreshing scopes, even in background, when data changes? It above example scope should refresh data when I make another call, text to someone, etc.
NearBy scope should refresh when we change position that having an impact on the results of objects in the nearby (or when we move too fast (car) and too often (running) - it should adjust, maybe less frequent).

What do you think about that?

Most scopes do periodically refresh although they are not updated based on data changing.
We have some fixes coming that will speed up refresh and update only the sections with changes

FYI, the Today scope does refresh approximately hourly without user interaction.

Scopes should refresh on data change and not periodically, otherwise it is useless. If I write/receive a short message, it should appear in Messages immediately. Also if I receive a call and in a minute I want to call back, it should be in a scope immediately, not wait a hour to refresh. Also the refreshing is very slow so I am eager on the update. Thank you.

I am not sure how does this “automatic hourly scope refresh” work because I have a problem with the displayed date. In order for the Today scope to display the actual date (and not the date from yesterday) I have to manually refresh the scope. This is indeed very impractical as the date information displayed on the lockscreen is correctly updated after midnight each day. However the Today scope waits for a manual refresh to update and provide the same information.

Could you please modify the automatic scope refresh such that the Today scope displays the correct date information directly after midnight (without having to manually refresh it in the morning)? Thanks!

Using BQ 4.5 / OTA 9.1

@Michal
Period (hourly, daily, etc.) refresh don't solve general problem - when data changes, scope should also update info. If we send message - scope in messages part should also refresh to include latest data.

Hi Krzysztof,

For now at least, the design and concept of scopes is that the user refreshes them to get the latest data.

Thanks for your input!
