Status of VNF remains active if VDU is down/stopped

Ubuntu 16.04
Environment for NFV

1.) Created a VNF. [Policy: monitoring, Action: log]
2.) Nova instance created and login to that instance
3.) Powered off the instance by "sudo poweroff" command
4.) Nova instance move to shutdown state and not pingable.

5.) Status still remains active, it should be in error as VDU is in poweroff mode.
