Bug Description
When the object updater get's a large number of 404 responses it should log a warning - since these async pending will not be removed.
This is related to the change to make the updater treat 404 as failure - lp bug #1328735
A fix might start like this:

N.B. if we start removing async pending updates that are "old enough" this is probably an even lower priority - lp bug# 1619408
