Bug Description

sometime build failures are also tracked in debian. the debian report could be referenced by searching the corresponding package in debian for a report with a given user and user tag. tag in lp and debian may not match (e.g. ld-no-add-needed in Debian, no-add-needed in Ubuntu).

This sounds interesting. I can't seem to find Debian bugs mirrored in Launchpad though, so I need to do some digging to find out where to start.

yes, the intent is to do this without first having the debian report in lp.

or maybe that would be another tool to connect the two bugs after filing them separately
