Bug Description
Preparing the LXD appliance, one thing I would love to do is have the LXD snap auto-configure itself including setting up a random password for the API.
I'd then like to have the URL (https://<ip>:8443) as well as that random password be displayed through console-conf.
This would make for a great turnkey experience for an appliance while also not using a hard-coded password which would be terrible for security.
I suspect we'd want this done through some ".d" directory where snaps with sufficient access (lxd is pretty magic for that, but it'd be an interfaces for others) can drop text snippets to include in the message displayed on the console.

For the auto-configuring itself and generating a password, configure (and install) hook could do that. For specific use cases content-interface could be used for exposing data to other snap. I don't think it helps with console-conf though as it's not a snap.
