Bug Description
The interface config page (the one on which you actually set the config options) could very usefully show a lot more information about the interface, gathered from lldp, ethtool and ifconfig type output. This would auto-update every 30 seconds, or when a config change is detected.
For example:
enp10s0 network interface configuration
ma:ca:dd:re:ss:00 Ports: [ TP ]
Intel 82574 Gigabit (1G) Pause frame: On/Off/Unable
Link detected RX 12619 Errors 0 (17.0 MB)
1000Mb/s full duplex, mtu 1500 TX 7079 Errors 0 (624.2 KB)
IPv4 configuration - currently 192.168.65.22 /24 via 192.168.65.1
( ) Use a static IPv4 address
(*) Use DHCP
( ) Do not use IPv4
IPv6 configuration - currently fe80::ec4:...
( ) Use a static IPv6 address
( ) Use DHCPv6
(*) Auto-assign based on MAC address
( ) Do not use IPv6
I think the layout of the information at the top is best described further in a Google doc where colours/
