Bug Description

I've upgraded to Stellarium 0.13.1 under Ubuntu 14.04 on a Samsung Slate 7. The new multitouch pinch zoom works great. I can also navigate the program using my tablet pen. However, after the upgrade I can no longer navigate the program or look in different directions without using the pen (which used to work fine before the upgrade, of course before the upgrade I had no pinch zoom). Is there a way I can keep both the pinch zoom AND use Stellarium without the pen? The tablet is heavy, and I don't want to accidentally drop it outside while trying to hold it overhead with one hand and pen in the other. Thanks!

We can try enable multitouch support on linux systems, but developers does not have any touch devices. Could you make testing of those changes, if we introduce it?

Unfortunately, no. I only had it for a short period of time. I decided to get a lighter tablet which sadly was a Windows device.

Tried on an Ubuntu 16.04.1/Mate netbook. 2-finger pinch zoom works, but no other touch interaction.

I've been hoping to be able to take my little tablet outside with me and use stellarium to identify actual stars I can see. This bug makes me have to hard reboot, because I cannot even leave the full screen window :-/

Would have been so cool... :-(

Stellarium is a community project driven (mostly) by the needs and ideas of voluntary developers. Hardware support can be developed if hardware and developing time are available, or contributed by users with access to such hardware and the urge to have it.

I know. I've been providing a good use case, in the hopes someone else would find that interesting, too. I'm not a developer, but I would be available for testing.
