Bug Description

ON OS X the executable of stellarium should get a digital signature from a developer ID.

The advance is that otherwise you can't start stellarium from the launchpad directly after you have copied it to the application folder.

No, this has not being solved in Stellarium 0.13.0 alpha7.1 on Mac OSX 10.9.1

Maybe Stellarium development team should get the certificate from here: https://developer.apple.com/developer-id/

Maybe just add a document and included in the .dmg file to tell users to change the gatekeeper setting
I think most of the Mac users have set "allow apps downloaded from Anywhere"

Maybe this is a wish-list item
You need to pay USD99 pre year to get the OSX developer ID and the signed certificate for stellarium

I wouldn't mind paying the USD99 / year. I can probably get a certificate for my own registered company (noctua software limited), but it would be better if we can assign the certificate to stellarium.org. Someone knows how we could do that?

I'd think the easiest fix what the original one, Add a document and included in the .dmg file to tell users to:
  transferr to the HD,
right click the app icon and choose open
 select open button

This only needs to be done once and no changes to gatekeeper need to be made! If user doesn't know about gatekeeper its better the settings be left alone.

I know that at a minimum Fabian receives the monetary donations for the project. I think he may also lead the European non-profit. That being the case, he needs to use the donated funds to pay for the Apple account. Or transfer the funds to someone else who can.
