Ubuntu snap store does not accept snaps build on launchpad

Bug Description
Trying to manually download and upload a snap to the store, as the automatic upload failed (see bug 1661286), using this package:

the upload itself seems fine and completes: these messages only appear once one want to submit the file when the upload is completed.
This could possibly be the root cause for bug 1661286, or it might be an additional issue (thus filing by itself for now).
Please advise where to file this for the snap store too/cross file, as as of now, it is unclear if the bug is in the snap generated by launchpad or the store being too picky.
