Bug Description
If the application change tray icon runtime, the tray icon may lose for a while.
The tray icon will show again after a short time.
User clicks other icons in the top bar can help the tray icon come back.
It seems that sni_qt create icon pixmaps in /tmp/sni-qt_****, and the "create" action is delayed by some reason.
The bug only affect 1404.

I can confirm that sni-qt 0.2.6-0ubuntu1 "converted" appindicators sometimes isn't displayed at all.
E.g. when starting Skype, the "starting-up" icon is briefly displayed, then nothing. After a varying (random?) interval, the Skype icon appears. It's, however, possible to "force" the icon to be displayed by opening-closing the Dash.
I haven't noticed any "delay" in creating icons - the required icons are created and exists in /tmp/..., but for some reason they're prevented from being displayed.
This happens in a freshly installed (and updated) 14.04 (i386) with no packages added except Skype.
Didn't have this problem with 12.04 and sni-qt 0.2.5-0ubuntu3_ i386, so I tried that older version with 14.04, but the problem persisted. Guess some change in Unity is the cause...
