scrolling on detail page scrolls preview images and window simultaneously

When scrolling in detail pages of application that have multiple preview images,
both, the preview image banner as well as the windows scrollbar get scrolled simultaneously when using the mouse scroll wheel.
I saw this behavior when looking at the Discord app.
I amusing wayland and my screen is too small to show all comments of the page at once.

The event doesn't seem to be catched completely when y-pos is at the banner, y-pos doesn't seem to matter.
