Bug Description
1. At the top click on Explore tab.
2. At the top-left on title bar click on Search icon.
3. Type in: vlc and Enter.
4. VLC program is listed. Double click on VLC.
NOTE: The same logic is for other programs like: gimp, remmina...
5. At top-right there in titlebar there is "Source" displayed and I can choose between snap (multiple channels) or deb package. The bottom line: one and the same program can be installed from multiple sources and snap package is preferred to be installed.
6. Now repeat step 4, but type in: pinta
PROBLEM APPEARS: pinta is listed twice. One for deb and one for snap package. The problem is Pinta deb package is version 1.6 that is 5 years old, pretty buggy and correct Mono package has to be installed. Most users don't know which one to install so they complain a lot in Ubuntu Software that Pinta is terrible software. But Pinta snap is 1.7 version that was released few months ago and snap package also is regularly updated from 1.7 stable fixes. The beauty is Pinta snap works like a charm (because proper Mono package is packaged inside snap package).
Can you please:
1. Group both Pinta in Ubuntu Software like other software: vlc, gimp, remmina...
2. Can you please delete all of the comments for Pinta in Ubuntu Software, because they all reflect to 5 years old software and are completely useless and shameful (mostly because people do not know which Mono package should be installed as prerequisite).

The pinta entry is still listed twice.
Even worse, the list view shows no hint which is the latest and which is the outdated, also no information about the installation source.
As an Ubuntu user, I would expect that any software is listed once, preferably the latestable version from Ubuntu universe source. Alternatively from snapcraft or other alien package formats.
Alternatively alternative workaround where it is not possible, please mark and recommend the latest stable version in the software list view!
Pinta has a major 2.0 release with gtk 3 support which should be the default recommended version.
