Support for drag&drop of pages to external programs was added to Simple Scan recently.
See Bug #483393 or https://code.launchpad.net/~victor-mireyev/simple-scan/483393/+merge/108289
or http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~simple-scan-team/simple-scan/trunk/revision/583 for more details.
It was merged into trunk in revision 583.
Apparently this breaks the movement of the cropping frame described in the question this bug report was converted from and verified by me, Michael.
With version 3.5.3, I find that trying to perform a custom crop on a 600 DPI photo, I can only drag the edge of the crop window a small amount (few dozen pixels maybe) before it begins to attempt a drag-n-drop maneuver. I am using a Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit install.
Is this a new feature? Or a problem with my install?
Thanks
