Bug Description

When using scribes windows switcher (F9) in ubuntu 11.10 unity desktop, focus does not change to the switched window.
It seems the new unity window switcher is not compatible with the scribes window switcher.

To reproduce:
1) Open multiple documents (windows) in scribes text editor
2) Use F9 (scribes window switcher) to move from the current window to another window
Expected: switched to window is visible and has focus.
Result: switched to window is visible, but does not have focus.

Running *gconftool-2 --type int --set
/apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/focus_prevention_level 0*
Didn't solve the issue - I tried running both as current user, and as root.
Do I need to restart unity for this to take effect?

Thanks

You're using an old version of Scribes. Update to the latest release. You can use my official PPA here.

Hi

Sorry for the late reply - was out on a business trip.

Even with the update to the latest PPA, and with running the gconf editor,
I still see the same problem.

I'm using an additional alt+tab after using the scribes windows switcher to
get focus to the chosen window.
It works, but it's a bit annoying.

Thanks
