Bug Description

With the deprecation of the status bar any information about the current column is gone. Sometimes this is pretty relevant and should at least be shown in the document information - or it should be possible to re-enable a status bar..

I've never found column information useful. When is it useful for you?

Writing eMails and especially writing Fortran (you have to leave some spaces in front of each line and stay below a certain limit - this could be reached with Right Margin an the right level of indentation - but it's not exactly the same - especially not if you "just want to write some lines of code"; also indentation is not necessarily the same in the following levels)

I'm still not following how having column information is going to improve your situation. I'm I missing something? If you're not supposed to pass a certain column you can set the right margin like you correctly suggested. As for indentation or following levels, well Scribes does that for you automatically. It'll follow the indentation or level of the previous line. Also enabling showing white spaces might help on a visual level with respect to indentation levels. Press alt+Period to show white spaces.

Yes - like I said - that all helps - but sometimes it would be much faster to just see quickly the column I'm in. The statement with "some spaces" should read "a certain amount of spaces" - at least 7.
