Bug Description
currently Scribes could not open one file into two windows,
if i wanted to view or compare two parts of a file,
this feature would help a lot.

I think it would be just easier to open the same file several time in scribes and put the windows side by side. Split view is not someting you do every five minutes, maybe it's just not frequent enough to add it as a feature when you can spend some seconds to do it manually. Espacially given the fact that Ubuntu let you do that very easyly in the next release :
