Bug Description
It would be nice to have an option such as 'view->highlight mode' in GEdit where the syntax highlighting can be set manually. Frequently as programmers we work with files which contain syntax but have no file type within there name, such as Rake files in ruby programs, at present I always open these files up in GEdit so I can get the syntax highlighting.
