Bug Description

I've added a new year in Schooltool with current dates for 2013. The previous 2012 school year exists on a separate tab and all my data moved over properly. However, Schooltool defaults to the 2012 tab anytime you select an option off of the 2013 tab. For instance...

Click 2013 school year... select sections.... sections from 2012 come up first, have to reclick 2013 tab to look at 2013 sections.

When you go to add students to a section in the 2013 school year, the dropdown box for the group filter is filled with groups from the 2012 school year with no way to change them.

When you add a student to the 2013 school year and then add them to a group... it defaults to the 2012 groups and you have to manually put them in the 2013 group and delete them from 2012.

I don't see any way to make the current school year the default and active year. Please advise. This issue is making it very difficult to maneuver within the software.

There's an option to set a school year as "active". It's kind of weird how to get there though (look at the two images in http://book.schooltool.org/years.html).

As manager:

1. Click the School tab
2. Click the title of the "active" year (the link right above "People")
3. Click the Done button
4. You should see a list of all the years, and use the "Activate New Year" option under Actions in the left sidebar.
