Likely as descibed in #455377 i got a similar(?) problem:
I forgot to mount the external drive so backup failed cause on /var/backup wasn't enough space.
This works as expected.
So i mounted the external drive, started sbackup as admin/root and choose the option "backup now".
A directory was created and i walked away cause this needs hours to finish.
Coming home, 14 hours later, the directory is still empty, andnothing happens....
So i had to cancel the job, backup was not created.
---> Bug!
Solution:
Change date and time on the cron job, save and wait till it starts.
---> works
