Bug Description
During a recent production deployment we had a brief downtime due to not including the production-specific configs. This would have been noticed during the staging deployment, if it weren't because the default config settings provided in the config branch work on staging.
We should change this so that the default (main.cfg) settings in the branch don't work at all without including either a dev-, vps-, staging- or prod-specific config file explicitly.
