Bug Description

On small screens (1024x600, which are common on netbooks) the main window is bigger than the screen with

java version "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.6.1) (6b16-1.6.1-3ubuntu3)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode, sharing)

Sun Java 6 JRE doesn't show this behavior.

Sorry, but I was mistaken: Using Sun Java 6 JRE doesn't solve the problem completely. When maximizing the main window the bottom status bar isn't visible and the help view can't disabled without moving the window.

Thank you for the bug report, Tobias! The reason for this problem is the fact that we optimized the whole application for screen resolutions 1024x768 or better. But you're right, 1024x600 screens are very popular now because of the "netbook" devices. We are going to think about a solution for this problem. :)

Thank you for your report, Tobias. Actually I am a little bit confused about what you mean by "Main Window". Is it the protocol view, or is it the window where you can enter all the metadata for the review? One or two screenshots would help.

@Developers: What is the minimum screen resolution in which RevAger should without scrolling? Of course there are some factors which influence this, like the screen itself (some netbooks like the Lenovo S10-1 have just 1024x576), size of the taskbar or size of the window decorations. Maybe we should agree on a reference environment here, i.e. Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04 with 1024x576 Pixels and default settings?

summary: - GUI unusable with OpenJDK 6 on small screens
+ GUI unusable on small screens (especially Netbooks)

It's the window, that is shown after start of revager, where you can open a review and select the mode. The window is listed on the window list, but isn't rendered. This issue only appears with OpenJDK on WindowMaker 0.92.0. With KDE this issue doesn't appear.
