Bug Description
In AR you can not write off a credit. It may be that you can not write off a credit memo. Here is how to recreate. 1. create invoice. 2. pay invoice with payment that is larger than the invoice. Issues.1) will not let you write off an overpayment. 2) it created a credit memo and would not allow write off the the credit memo.

Note currently you can create and invoice for the credit amount and through AR payments apply the invoice against the credit.
