Bug Description

Bonjour,

Thank for all, I finally succeded by typing --prefix=/usr as said in the doc (I must read better...).

I don't know if it's really a bug or a compile/configure problem but here it is :

Just some details :
- when trying to modify tempo or pitch or speed, sliders work peffectly but "+" and "-" buttons do not : they just permit a 0.1 variation around zero...
- it would be nice to flush sound buffer of rhythmbox when changing tempo, speed or pitch ; actually, when changing some tempo or another thing some time is needed before hearing some change.

cordialement,

C. Villard

Hi,

I can't reproduce the bug you are experiencing. I don't see that "+" and "-" buttons "permit a 0.1 variation around zero". In fact I can go from the minimum to the maximum bounds as defined in the bounds configuration dialog (Edit -> Plugins, click on "Pitch and Tempo Shifting", then Configure button) with no problem.

Since I am unable to reproduce the problem, I am marking this bug as Incomplete and reassigning it to you, to provide more information about how to reproduce it.

Also, please try the packages in the PPA repository to see if it fixes the issue.

Further information: The latency for the Rhythmbox playback is not really within the control of this plugin. Latency and buffering is largely controlled by the system infrastructure, i.e. gstreamer, pulseaudio and ALSA. If I were to flush the buffers every time the user updates any value, you would get horrible "clicks" and "pops" due to underruns or having too small buffer.
