not sure if this got noticed in the other thread i posted it last week but here's the packaged version of qtsixa/sixad 1.2.0. It also has the associated build files with it.

This bug is about getting QtSixA in the official Ubuntu repos.
For the compilation I have a PPA.

Any more news about it getting added to the official repos?

I need to cleanup the qtsixa code and do a new release, but I'm busy with other things right now.

I'm aware you no longer support QtSixA, since now Linux have native support for PS3 & PS4 controllers. However, I have five reasons why I think you should resume the support:

1) Native support doesn't work properly yet:
Even though it should work out of the box, it doesn't, or at least I haven't be able to do it. When I have "luck", I can connect one controller. When I don't (most of the time) I can't connect anything. In addition, it's happened years since Linux "included" native support.

2) QtSixA still work on newer distros:
Using the repository for Ubuntu 15.04 (the last supported version of Ubuntu) I had been able to install and use QtSixA under Ubuntu 15.10/16.04 and Linux Mint 18. The only major issue I have found is when sixad runs at the boot, it doesn't work and I have to stop it and re-start it. So, with only enabling the repos for newer versions, it would be a great improvement.

3) I believe only small modifications are required:
Since QtSixA still works, it would require small modifications IMO, to just fix the start at boot or to disable that feature.

4) The community still wants to use QtSixA:

I'm no longer interested on developing QtSixA.
