Bug Description

I installed Cura from the PPA (https://launchpad.net/~thopiekar/+archive/ubuntu/cura)

When starting it it crashes.

According to the issue on GitHub (https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/1094) this is caused by a certain Qt version.

Additionally the question from me is: Is there a way to disable the dbusmenubar?
E.g. using an environment variable?

removing unity8 as I don't see how anything in unity8 could influence this.

In Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety crashes with standard user, but runs with root.
