Bug Description
Nowhere to be found but offen requested:
Printing a pdf with a footer or header giving the file name and location and the time of printing,
just like you know it from printing a webpage with an internet browser.
So, the print job would consist of two things:
1st the header/footer and
2nd the pdf page itself within the remaining space.
I believe, it *should* be part of the printing driver to offer the option
to print these header/footer information for *any* file including pdf
without any modification to the file itself.
I learned that Fineprint for Windows (a print preview with editing functionality) resolves the problem via stamps:
I tried the given procedure with a virtual machine running XP
and it worked. It's not a solution but a workaround.
Maybe the qpdf developers can find a way to outsmart the printing drivers lacking the desired feature.
