Bug Description
The QEMU Cortex-A9MP private peripheral model (a9mpcore.c) doesn't implement the A9's global timer.
This is a fairly low priority because Linux doesn't try to use this device.
A patch was submitted to the list last year:

but a combination of QEMU infrastructure changes since then and issues with that patch mean it may well be more straightforward to do a from-scratch implementation.
