Upon Startup/Searches It Consumes Too Much Memory

Bug Description

The program is using too much memory upon startup and upon doing searches. My fans are working overtime keeping my kernel cool while it is over processing. I may have to stop using it, as it may burn out my chips. It stops after I start downloading and clear all the searches. It is the best for download speeds I have seen. Keep up the Good Work!

Does it use too much memory or too much CPU? You are talking about fans so I think you were talking about cpu usage?

Hi Christophe,

It seems to use too much cpu resources. I am running it on Mandriva
2008, and qBittorrent is the current version. I am going to remove it,
so I won't be able to help you further, as it isn't connecting to peers
consistently or it doesn't know if a torrent is locked or not. I am
running it on a KDE desktop if that is any help. It seems to be related
to the search button; when I stop it from searching it slows down again.

Thanks for your quick response & keep up the good work!

I've also noticed that qbittorent is using 254% of my processors [quad] and rather a lot of ram as well - during these times, I cannot add a torrent and must close and restart before I have a chance of doing anything - I am happy to help as I can, but others are probably more able.
