Bug Description
Nice little application, but can I suggest that filtering for rename candidates is a little limited?
I have files like house-01.jpg, house-02.jpg etc. Now I add some more files like 01.jpg, 02.jpg and I would like to rename these as car-01.jpg, car-02.jpg. But there doesn't seem to be a way of selecting them - I can select house*, but not the converse of this. Of course I can manually select the candidates, which is better than nothing.
Maybe there could be an "exclude" option for the filter? But even that could be clunky - what if I want to rename files with say a 1-digit name (1.jpg to 01.jpg) but not a 2-digit name?
So here's a suggestion - why not allow standard regular expression syntax for the filter (and the pattern and replacement for that matter)? It could be an "advanced" option (eg. a Regex tab) but it would really add to the utility of pyRenamer by allowing what I've mentioned and heaps more.
Cheers, Roger Lainson
Hi : you can select only needed file using {#}.jpg
