Bug Description
Binary package hint: prevu
This is a feature request to address dependency problems such as the ones reported in bug #177620 and at <http://
Prevu should automatically edit debian/control and update dependency specifications to work with prevu-backported versions of the dependencies. For example, suppose that a user is backporting the package foo from Hardy to Gutsy. Suppose that the version of foo in Hardy has a dependency on bar >= 1.2. When the user runs "prevu foo", prevu should automatically edit foo's debian/control and change the dependency to be on bar >= 1.2~7.10prevu1.

Yeah, I would like this functionality in prevu; also, I'd like it to add a flag to try building against the newest available dependency version available if the specified version is not satisfiable.
