Bug Description
I am using Polly 0.93.4 (pre-alpha 3.4) and I think it is important every now and then to check a person's avatar in detail. Either for identification or when they have a twibbon or have something written that is hard to see. The twitter clients I use on my mobile offer this option.
Currently Polly's behavior is that it opens a user column when you click on an avatar. I suggest extending this. So that if I am clicking on user's avatar in a his/her column, either of the following will happen:
a) direct user to the browser with a link to the avatar.png (without having to go through loading twitter's interface).
b) show the avatar in a new column just like when polly shows previews of twitpic photos
c) open the photo in the system's image viewer (e.g. EOG)
Also, a larger thumbnail may be shown when you click on the (i) button for more information on a certain user.
I wish I'd be able to write a patch for this and send it but I lack the skills.
The current behavior is indeed redundant. What exactly should replace it needs design, but this report is valid.
