Bug Description

Currently, Polly has indicator support, so the new tweet count is seen in the Messaging Menu.

But Ubuntu has a new dock in Unity with features such as badges and quicklists. It would be great to add support with unread tweets indicated in the icon, and quicklists to create a new tweet; to have Polly more integrated with Ubuntu.

I'm interested in implementing this, since libunity is being adopted by all popular docks.

However, it will only be possible after the port to GObject-introspection.

I think a similar feature set should be added to the Polly quicklist - primarily:

- Post a tweet
- Send a direct message.

I think we should also have a badge showing the number of unread mentions/DMs.

The unread badge goes without saying. :)

I also intend to add progress bar support for media uploads.

Are there some command line parameters? So we can roll our own quicklists?

Badges and progress have to be implemented by the application, of course, but quicklists can be done on our own (until the appliation supports it).

Currently, the only useful command line parameter for a quicklist is "--compose", which makes Polly start with the compose box opened and focused.
