Podbird seems to freeze at end of playing first episode on Volla phone

Bug Description
Running on Volla phone,
Channel Release candidate
Ubuntu Touch Version 11, updated March 16th.
Installed version: 0.8.11
When selecting to play an episode sometimes it takes several seconds (10-15) to start.
This gives the user (me) the impression the app hangs.
Same with navigating the app.
I still don't know if Podbird starts the next episode after one is finished, or it just hangs, or if it's sluggish. At the moment it looks like it just stops.
But when I'm driving, I simply want it to play the next episode. Is there a setting for that?
