TWiT's Security Now podcast often won't play

Bug Description
Not sure what is going on, but I often cannot get Security Now podcasts to play. I've tried mp3 subscriptions and low quality video subscriptions. If I switch to some other podcast (e.g., something from NPR), it plays fine. I switch back to Security Now, I press play, pause, play but nothing ever starts playing.
Sometimes it plays, most of the time it does not. I always download what I listen to and play the downloaded copy. Fully up to date Ubuntu Touch as of 30 march 2016 on Aquaris 4.5. Podbird fully up to date as well.

I too experience this, although I don't believe it is solely related to TWIT Security Now. I sometimes get this issue with Linux Unplugged.
In the past I have closed all the applications and restarted the device, and sometimes ( 50/50 ) it fixes it.
What I also found was that, if you set it playing and then leave it, after a minute of 2 it suddenly starts playing the episode.
