Bug Description
When using MATE Tweak to set the "Cupertino" layout, I am provided with a dock (Plank) and a top panel. If I set the dock's Position to Left and its Alignment to Start or Fill in the dock preferences, the Dock is drawn over the top of the top panel. (See attached screenshot.) It should avoid the top panel in this configuration.

(Note: there is a workaround, of setting Alignment to Centre and then adjusting the slider to move the dock up the screen. This is rather hacky, though.)
