Webkit plugin stops working after away message

Bug Description
I've noticed that with the plugin activated, if you put up an away message, the message styles stop working with all new created messages.
To recreate:
I'm using Pidgin 2.5.1 on Ubuntu 8.04. If I start up Pidgin, all my messages work properly, with the styles and everything. However, if I change my status to anything other than "Available," any conversations started after the change in status revert back to regular formatting.
