did you try installing from package manager? That's how I did it, and seemed to work ok. It added a menu item, and runs fine.
To add to package manager, add PPA from: https:/ /launchpad. net/~atareao/ +archive/ atareao then just sudo apt-get install picapy.
I remember getting a similar error on another version, it has something to do with where the files are copied.
