Bug Description
Right now running innodbbackupx with relative directory treats path as the path from mysql data directory which is different from pretty much any other Unix tool. It is not only confusing it also makes little sense to place your backup in the datadir ubdirectory
Should be fixed so relative directory is treated based on current path same as for other tools.
