Bug Description

Hi all,

I've noticed odd behavior in elementary OS Freya 0.3.1. If I suspend my laptop by closing the lid, the following happens when I open the lid and press the power button:

* Greeted by black screen with flashing underscore symbol at the top left (like a CLI)

* Next, Pantheon appears with whatever applications were running

* It should be noted that I can interact with Pantheon during this time; most recently I opened an instance of Firefox

* After a few seconds, the screen flickers and takes me to the Greeter DM, at which point I have to enter my password

I do believe that the proper behavior should be that waking from suspend immediately takes you to Greeter DM rather than to Pantheon and then to the DM. It almost seems like the DM is taking a while to initiate, so in the meantime the system just takes you to the desktop.

I have just started investigating this, it is unclear wether it is our greeter, lightdm or the window manager's fault.
